During the summer months, the Big Sur coastline in California is often socked in the early morning hours with a marine inversion layer of fog and mist. That was thecae on this particular morning at Julia Pfeiffer Burns State Park. The rock formations along the shoreline were just beginning to become visible when I made this image to capture their ghostly appearance.
