Wind and water have shaped the limestone rock, probably since it emerged from ancient inland seas as a result of tectonic plate movemet eons ago. Plaza Blanca, located on private property outside of Santa Fe, New Mexico, contains several limestone and sandstone formations that rise dramatically from a basin. Wind and water have played a hand in shaping these monumental formations.
