The Inca were the foremost agricultural engineers of their time, experimenting in terraced farming and studying and recording the effect of slight elevation changes on crop growth and productivity. This field is near the town of Moray near the Sacred Valley of the Inca. The terraces were actually created in the time of the Inca's reign over the region, and they today they are still farmed by the descendants of the Inca.
