Looking an awful lot like cottage cheese curds, this wonderful cloud cover provided a soft, diffuse light over the lake that really allowed me to bring out the detail in the tufa tower formations without worrying too much about contrast in my exposure. This was taken shortly before sunset, when the low angle of the sun ignited the sky in a gorgeous red-orange glow.
