This collection of images from a trip to the Canadian Rockies I took in late September 2015 represents the first time using the new Canon 5Ds R, the new flagship camera in Canon's gear. It was a real surprise seeing the results, which I get to share with you in this collection of images. I wasn't expecting to see a noticeable boost in quality, detail, color fidelity and tonal range from what I've been used to with my Canon 5D Mark III camera. But I did. I think you'll be impressed with the detail captured by this camera. The Canadian Rockies was an awesome week-long adventure to some amazing places, such as Moraine Lake, Lake Louise, Vermillion Lake, Kananaskis River, Bow Valley, Bow Summit and Hillsdale Meadow, most of which were located within Banff or Yoho national parks. Autumn was the perfect time to visit, as you'll see by the terrific foliage display of the aspens and larch. This was a trip that would not have been possible without the guidance of Dmitri Vasileiou and Bruce Smith, two photographers whom I met for the first time on this trip and whom I now consider buddies.
